Set in beautiful natural surroundings, La Deu was founded in 1885 and is one of the oldest restaurants in the region. It is run today by the same family that opened it almost 130 years ago with the same commitment to the principles that have been its mainstay for over a century: good service, quality food and reasonably-priced, traditional cuisine.
Back in 1943 the family came up with the recipe for Bretcha potatoes, now the basis for the La Deu’s homemade stuffed potatoes, which have been a source of inspiration for the many different versions of that old favourite, Olot potatoes.
Nowadays, La Deu is run by the fourth and fifth generations of the Reixach family, preserving the legacy of tradition and incorporating innovative touches as their menu reflects. The team at La Deu are passionate about cooking and caring for their guests through their dishes. They serve fundamentally classic Mediterranean and volcanic cuisine based on locally-sourced ingredients and featuring elements inspired by creative cuisine.
La Deu boasts a tradition for holding banquets thanks to its unique, superb setting and spacious areas. It is the ideal venue for corporate conventions, social gatherings and large social events.
