The most important Senior Amateur Football championship in the world, the AFIA Cup, has chosen the Costa Brava Girona as the venue for its European tournament this year.

In May, Hotel L’Azure in Lloret de Mar will be hosting more than 800 people, including footballers, professionals and those accompanying them during the six-day competition at Palamós Stadium, Lloret de Mar Municipal Stadium and Montilivi Stadium in Girona.

For over 30 years, AFIA has been a pioneer in the organisation of international football championships for amateur footballers aged over 35 and it is present in 150 countries across the Americas and Europe.
