Award ceremony at the Girona Convention Centre

The Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGI) awards were celebrated on 1 July at the Girona Convention Centre. These annual awards are organised by the FPdGI and seek to promote and encourage initiative and effort, scientific research and artistic creativity, solidarity and talent development in young entrepreneurs and innovators who strive to build a more just world in a globalised context and who have both the capacity to take risks and the motivation required to bring about changes in society.

Incentives for dynamic teams

Backed by over 20 years of experience, Medaqua launches its “EMPORDÀ EXPERIENCE” catalogue, which details different itineraries for exploring Empordà in a week, like the “Discover the tastes and colours of Empordà on foot or by bike”, a group itinerary that combines physical activity with cultural and culinary experiences.

MEDAQUA, an ecotourism company, offers both water and land activities for discovering Empordà’s hidden treasures.

Taste of the sea and prawns

The “Rafael”, a traditional fishing boat that Tela Marinera has recovered and restored, has once again set sail from Palamós to offer its passengers a taste of the sea and prawns. This three-hour activity is the perfect way to supplement your convention or incentive with an enriching, one-of-a-kind experience.

Follow business with pleasure at the city’s summer terraces

A business trip to Girona in July and August can be more than just business, with a range of surprising proposals –like those from some of the city’s hotels– that are guaranteed to thrill any traveller:

The terrace at the AC Hotel Palau de Bellavista offers outstanding views of the city along with themed nights like #MomentsInedit every Thursday in July and August, which features a tapa menu paired with Inedit, as well as #UpSong, a series of concerts by tribute bands of legendary artists like the Beatles and Bruce Springsteen combined with a gourmet dinner and overnight stay.

Hotel Ultònia has kicked off its El Secret of Girona, a fifth-floor terrace that offers sophisticated yet laid-back musical evenings.

Another can’t-miss summer hotspot in Girona is Urban Roof by Pommery, located on the sixth floor of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Girona, where guests can enjoy stunning sunsets paired with music and a deep cocktail list.
