The Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees presents its MICE tourism in Madrid
The second Costa Brava Afterwork, organised by the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, was celebrated on 7 June.
Held at Pangea the Travel Store in Madrid, the event brought together professionals from specialised travel agencies and event organisers from the metropolitan area of Madrid and twenty companies and institutions from the Girona Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau, who participated in organising the event.
Afterwork is an opportunity that combines networking with first-hand experiences of actual activities in our region inspired by members of our MICE sector.
Health industry events
The Catalan Institute of Health’s 8th Obesity and Diabetes Seminar was celebrated on 3 June at Girona’s Convention Centre. The winners of the 2016 Research Career and Outstanding New Researcher were also announced at the event.
The Hostal Spa Empúries hosted the “Correlating Clinical and Experimental TB Pathology” Seminar for over 20 researchers from 8 to 10 June.
The Forum of Excellence returns to Lloret de Mar
Lloret de Mar once again welcomed the Forum of Excellence from 8 to 11 June. The second edition of this meeting for world leaders and young talents in various disciplines featured a more extensive list of high-quality speakers compared to last year.
A total of 130 top-rate speakers participated in the event, including four Nobel Prize winners, three former heads of State, two NASA astronauts, managers of investment forums, entrepreneurs, artists and chefs.

We will be at the M&I Forum in Madrid from 28 June to 2 July to promote MICE tourism in the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees at this annual event for tourism professionals. A number of Girona organisations and companies from Girona will also participate in the event, including the Lloret Convention Bureau, Evenia Hotels, the Girona Convention Centre and the PGA Catalunya Resort
