The Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau explains its plan for resuming its activity in a promotional video starring an event planner.

With the message “Create your own symphony,” the campaign aims to shift attention towards the destination’s capacity to become the perfect setting for hosting activities created by event planners.

The creative concept behind the video draws parallels between event planners and symphony conductors. Just as the melodies in this type of musical piece are arranged to create a harmonious ensemble, when planning an event the organiser has to coordinate many different elements to ensure that everything runs smoothly and achieve the goals of the event.

The stage and the orchestra

From the stage of the Palau de Congressos de Girona main auditorium, the conductor synchronises the elements to be used in the piece, represented here by landscapes, spaces and services which appear in successive scenes.

Create your own symphony in Costa Brava Girona

By way of an example, we see a talk with a 3D presentation given at the imposing Sant Julià Fortress, the perfect synchronisation of the chefs at Les Cols restaurant in Olot, a guided tour of Girona’s Historic Quarter and the Santa Clotilde Gardens, alternating between mountain landscapes, such as those of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, and images of the coast at the Empúries archaeological site and houses in S’Alguer.

The story is an invitation to event planners to “take the stage and pick up the baton” and unleash their creativity, coordinating the resources the Costa Brava Girona has to offer: technology, gastronomy, incredible landscapes, specialised services and professionals who are experts in meeting the needs of corporate and institutional tourism clients.

Teamwork

Representatives from Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau member companies collaborated actively and free of charge in making the video, which was written and produced by Ginkgo Audiovisuals.

The campaign is addressed to the business tourism sector in the main European markets and follows the strategy laid out in the Action Plan, which prioritises the creation of audiovisual content about sustainability and digitalisation.
