At the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau we have started the year by welcoming three new members to the over 140 existing associates that support us in promoting business tourism throughout the province of Girona.

El Nus de Pedra

This country accommodation nestles in the magnificent setting of the Llémena valley, in a stone farmhouse dating from 1622. It has eight apartments that have been carefully restored and decorated so as to retain the original characteristics of buildings in the area at that time.

Facilities for business groups include a functional and adaptable meetings room, fully equipped to ensure high-quality projection and a good internet connection, in addition to a personalised catering service, transport and an ideal setting for team building and leisure activities.

El Nus de Pedra is just 20 minutes’ drive from the Girona Conference Centre, 35 minutes by train from Barcelona and 15 minutes from the AP-7 motorway.

Albanyà Astronomical Observatory

This unusual venue, with its unique experience for the senses, is the ideal place to select as a complementary activity as part of a convention or training session programme.

The team of astrologists, led by the prestigious astrophotographer Juan Carlos Casado, takes visitors on an audiovisual tour of the night sky, specially adapted to each group, the meteorological conditions and the time of year of the visit. It is a highly memorable introduction to astronomy.

The observatory has been awarded seals of approval by two internationally recognised institutions: the International Dark-Sky Association, a leader in the protection of the sky at night, and the Starlight Foundation, which certifies venues with an excellent sky quality.
