When 50 workers at Hosco compete to come up with the best gastronomic creations that will be served at an evening meal, we are looking at a MasterChef experience, one of the ‘switch-off capsules’ offered by Hotel Can Xiquet, jointly organised by Humanside Experiences and +Gresca.
Participants from several countries were divided into groups to cook two appetisers, two starters, two main courses and two desserts. The result was a tasting menu with innovative, top-level proposals, as was to be expected from a group like this!
The magnificent Albera mountain range was the setting for the annual convention of the Hosco professional platform of tourism and catering, an online resource that brings together the main stakeholders in the sector in a single community to share knowledge, contacts and work opportunities.
During the event, the group enjoyed the exclusive use of the hotel facilities and of the conference centre and made a visit to Vinya dels Aspres, a D.O. Empordà Wine Route winery located near Hotel Can Xiquet.
The switch-off capsules are a new initiative at Hotel Can Xiquet targeted at the MICE sector. They combine the hotel areas with proposals suited to the setting which include coaching workshops, dynamic activities and wine and gastronomy experiences.
